Monday –     Drama rehearsal afterschool

Junior high girls’ volleyball practice afterschool.

 J.V. girl’s practice from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

 Senior boys’ volleyball practice from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.


Tuesday Junior high boys’ volleyball practice after school

 Cross Country after school today. Meet by the front doors at 3:20.

    S.V. girl’s practice from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.    


Wednesday –  Drama rehearsal afterschool

The tier 2 girls have a home game against DAF 1

S.V. girl’s practice from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.

Thursday – The tier 1 girls are playing in Barnwell after school

The tier 1 boys are playing in Barnwell at 5:30 p.m.

Cross Country after school today. Meet by the front doors at 3:20.


Friday –  Senior boys home volleyball tournament on Friday and Saturday.  Today the senior boys play at 1:00, 6:00 and 8:00 p.m.                                                                                    

*There is a student council meeting at lunch time today in Mrs. Angle’s room.  Students who have been selected to attend We Day NEED to be in attendance to get their permission form for the trip.


*Mr. Schellenberg is looking for some scorekeepers for the volleyball tournament this weekend.  If you are interested, please talk to him.
Come out and cheer on the Vikings in their home volleyball tournament .   The Vikings play Friday at 1, 6, and 8.


*Just a reminder that the fundraiser is on Friday, November 9th which is two weeks earlier than usual.  If you can sing, dance or play an instrument we are looking for fundraiser performers for the program and during the supper.  Please sign-up at the office.


*Please make sure that you are selling your fundraiser tickets and collecting your donations.  Your ticket stubs, money and donations need to be brought into the office.


*The school Terry Fox run will take place this Thursday during flex.  Please bring in at least a toonie to your advisory leader. Points will be awarded to the teams that bring in the most donations.


* On October 16 - There is an opportunity for 5 high school boys to attend a youth conference in Lethbridge around personal growth and development.


On October 17 - There is a Mental health/self-care conference for 5 high school girls in Lethbridge.

Both conferences are being run by the YMCA/YWCA. For more information on the ’Wise Guys' and 'Power of being a girl’ conferences see Ms. Payne or Mr. Blake.


*There is a lot of garbage in the student parking lot every day.  Please leave your garbage in your vehicle or deposit in a garbage can.  If the area is constantly being littered, we will close the student parking lot.


*"Orange Shirt" Day will be tomorrow so please wear an orange shirt. Orange shirt day is a National movement that recognizes the experiences of survivors of the residential school system.  It honours them, and shows a collective commitment to ensure that Every Child Matters. It is an opportunity to come together in the spirit of reconciliation and hope for generations of children to come.


* Hot lunch will start on Wednesday, October 3rd.  Please sign-up at the office for hot lunch.  The first hot lunch of the year will be chicken fingers and fries or chicken fingers and Caesar salad.

*14th Annual Post-Secondary Fair Hosted by Career Transitions

When: Wednesday, October 17, 2018
Where: LCI - 1701 5 Ave S, Lethbridge
Who: Over 30 post-secondary institutions will be present
Time: Post-Secondary Fair - 6:00-8:30
          Scholarship/ Student Loans Presentation - 5:30-6:00 and 6:50-7:20
          Transitioning to Post-Secondary Presentation - 6:10-6:40 and 7:30-8:00

*Mr. Mouland, our career counselor, is here every Monday afternoon.  If you have any questions about careers, job shadow opportunities, the RAP program, scholarships, entrance requirements and admission deadlines to college or university please set up an appointment.  To set up an appointment talk to your advisory teacher or the office.

*From 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday evenings the weight room and cardio room will be open for adults only – no students.  We are trying to encourage more community use.
