*Queens summer volleyball camp will be held Aug. 7 – 10. The cost is $115 and registration forms are available at the office and on the school website. Space is very limited so get in while you can.
*Please check out the lost and found items which are located under the “Wall of Fame” in the gathering area. All items not picked up by next Wednesday will be donated to charity.
*Select People Solutions is looking for rougers to work in the fields in the Vauxhall area. You must be 15-year-old or older. For more information, please call Maria Suing 403-654-0470
*Music Class will be available as an option in period 7 & 8 next fall. Learn how to play electric guitar, acoustic guitar, drums and bass guitar. Singers are welcome. Explore all styles of music. Sign up at the front desk.
*The grade 5 students from VES are collecting new and used school supplies. This includes everything from pencils to notebooks, even your worn out gym shoes. The supplies will be sent with the Tango Foundation when they visit Fiji in the fall. Drop off all your unwanted supplies in the big yellow box in the foyer.
*The Fun in the Sun activity will be the last two periods on Tuesday June 19th. Be sure to sign up your team for fun events like beach volleyball, basketball, street hockey and much more! If students don’t sign-up, the fun in the sun activity will be canceled and we will have regular classes. The sign-up sheets will be located on the advisory board.
*The science classes are selling their seedlings. They have many varieties, including tomato seedlings that spent time on the international space station. Please see Mrs. Angle if you are interested in purchasing plants.
*Just a reminder that if we don’t sell 70 yearbooks we will need to bow out of our contract with Friesen’s for yearbooks as we are losing too much money. PLEASE buy a yearbook! Phones break and pictures are lost!
*On Tuesday, June 19th during flex, right after the 10-minute check-in, we are having a school wide locker clean-up.
*All library books are overdue! Please return them asap!
*There is a student council meeting Tuesday at lunch time in Mrs. Angle’s room.
*Could all basketball teams please return your uniforms asap. Tier I boys to myself, Tier I girls to Mrs. Angle and senior teams to the office.
*Hot Lunch is finished for the rest of this school year.
*From 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday evenings the weight room and cardio room will be open for adults only – no students. We are trying to encourage more community use.
