*The annual VES/VHS Gala will be held on March 28.  If you would like to perform, please speak with Ms. Barnes.


*If you are interested in purchasing school apparel it is available to view and purchase at the office.


*Minister Eggen would like us to announce that the recruitment for the 2018/19 Minister’s Youth Council has begun. They are looking for approximately 32 junior and senior high school students with diverse interests, identities, backgrounds and perspectives from all regions of Alberta. Of those 32, they will be accepting up to eight returning council members and at least 24 new members. The council will continue to give students the opportunity to build their leadership skills at the provincial level, make an impact on education and leave a legacy that will last well into the future.  Students can apply directly to Alberta Education before March 30, 2018. *Hot Lunch is available on Wednesday for only $5.00.  On the menu for Wednesday after the week off, is a cheeseburger and fries.  You must sign-up at the office to receive a hot lunch.


*Taber Soccer registration can only be done online this year.  Registration starts Feb. 1 to Feb. 16th.  To register go to  This Friday is the last day to register and no late registrations will be accepted as orders will need to be placed and teams made up within the following week.  Soccer Season starts April 16-June 22.


*Students interested in taking drivers education this spring need to sign-up and register at the office. Classes are scheduled at VHS from April 23 – 26, 2018 @ 3:30 – 5:30 & 6:00 – 8:15PM. 

  • registrations must be in multiples of three students
  • need a minimum of six students enrolled to host a class
  • cut off for registration is April 13, 2018 at 12:00 pm

The price for the course is $769.00 + GST = $807.45.  For the same cost, they also offer an online course for the 18 hour in-class portion but the 10 hour driving portion must be done in Medicine Hat or Lethbridge.


*From 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday evenings the weight room and cardio room will be open for adults only – no students.  We are trying to encourage more community use.
