Mr. Hans Bowden

Hans Bowden grew up in Nelson BC where his family took advantage of the many opportunities for outdoor adventure. In particular, Hans developed a great love for hiking, snowboarding, downhill mountain biking, and rock climbing. Hans graduated as a certified EMT from the Lethbridge College before deciding to pursue a teaching career at the University of Lethbridge where he and his wife Jennifer, who is also a teacher, enjoyed taking classes together. They are now the proud parents of two children, the youngest of whom is just 6 weeks old. Hans teaches Social Studies to grade 9, 10, 11 and 12 student and would arguably(typical of a social science teacher)  say that there is not a better subject to teach. Hans' love for social studies and current event makes him a passionate instructor, but his true love for teaching come from spending time with the student. If you ever need to speak to Hans, his door is alway open and you will likely find him in the school at all hours of the day...
