*PRACTICES/GAMES/REHEARSALS
Monday – Tier 1 boys volleyball practice after school.
Tier 2 girls volleyball practice after school.
Tuesday – Tier 1 girls’ volleyball practice after school.
Wednesday – The tier 2 girls are hosting TCS 1 at 4:00 p.m.
Thursday – The tier 1 girls are playing in Barnwell at 3:15 p.m. They will be leaving
at the start of period 8.
Tier 1 boys have a home game against Barnwell at 5:30 p.m.
Friday –
*Tomorrow is Orange Shirt Day. Wearing an orange shirt shows our commitment to raise
awareness of the residential school experience and to honor the healing journey of Indigenous
lives impacted by residential schools.
*All students in high school that are taking work experience, green certificate, or RAP. The next
meeting with Heather will be on Wednesday, October 4 th , at lunchtime in Mr. Reiling’s
classroom. You are being tracked for meeting attendance for your marks and credits so please
make sure you are there!
*There is a meeting in advisory, after the 10-minute check-in, for all grade 10 students that have
expressed an interest in doing Green Certificate. The meeting will be with Heather in Mr.
Reiling’s classroom on Wednesday, October 4 th .
*We are excited to be hosting our annual "Welcome Back to School" family BBQ. Please let
your parents know that this BBQ will take place tonight starting at 5:30 p.m. If it rains, we will
hold it in the school in the gathering area and if it is nice, we will hold it outdoors.
It will provide an opportunity for us to welcome you and your family back to school.
I hope to see you and your families on the 28th!
*There will be Student Council Meetings Wednesday during lunch in Miss Anton's classroom.
*Our Career Counselor, Mr. Mouland, will be here on Wednesdays. If you need any information
in regards to college, university, work study programs, entrance requirements, programs offered
and student loans, please let the office or a teacher know and we can book you an appointment
with Garth.
*Hungry, Need Breakfast – Every morning you can go to the foods room, using the door closest
to the lockers, from 8:05 until the start of school you can pick up some breakfast. The breakfast
program started this morning and will continue each and every morning.
*HOT LUNCH on Wednesday is a Chicken Noodle Soup and a cheese bun. You must sign-up at
the office. We are continuing with our punch card or single card system. You must purchase a
card for lunch. A single card can be bought for $5.00, and a multi-card can be bought for $20.00
(4 lunches). The punch cards must be purchased from the office ahead of time or they can be
bought with an e-transfer to vauxhallbaseball@gmail.com.

*This year, if you need to purchase a cup of soup for lunch, please go to the office instead of the
corner store. This option is available Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday’s!
*Career Transitions are excited to invite you to the Career Exploration Sessions for this school
year! Those interested in attending need to register in advance in order to receive a link to the
virtual event.

The SW Post-Secondary Fair includes post-secondary institutions from across the
province and beyond. The unique thing about this fair is that students can attend with
their parents! Here are the details:
