Tuesday – The senior girl’s slo-pitch team play a D.H. in Brooks today at 5:00 pm.
Wednesday –
Thursday –  League Final Tournament for Queens slo-pitch in Lethbridge at Softball

Valley.

Friday –

*All students in high school that are taking work experience, green certificate, or RAP. Mr.
Pritchard is here on Wednesday at lunchtime.  The meeting is in Mr. Reiling’s room, and it is
mandatory to attend. You are being tracked for meeting attendance for your marks and credits so
please make sure you are there!
*Deadline for work experience hours submission is Wednesday, June 11. 
All work experience for credit students must meet with Mr Pritchard June 11 to turn in and
confirm your hours and credits. 
Summer work experience forms are due June 18th. Forms for the summer can be picked up at the
office. 
*The substitute Career Counselor, Sharla Kane, will be here on Wednesday mornings. Sharla’s
last day, of this school year, will be this upcoming Wednesday. If you need any information in
regards to college, university, work study programs, entrance requirements, programs offered
and student loans, please let the office know and we can book you an appointment with Sharla.
*There will be a travel club meeting TODAY during lunch in Mrs. Schellenberg's room.  Anyone in
grade 9 or 10 who might be interested in travel club should attend this meeting.  
*"Fun in the sun is happening next Thursday during periods 7 and 8. There will be freezies, art,
chalk, lawn games, as well as a 3v3 volleyball tournament in the gym, 3v3 basketball tournament
outside, and a spikeball tournament. To play in the tournaments you must sign up a team on the
sign-up sheets that are posted on the advisory board. If you want to play in one of them but don't
have a team, talk to Mrs. Astalos." 
*There is a student council meeting at lunchtime on Tuesday in Mrs. Astalos' room.
*Another year has come to an end at the library. If you haven’t already done so, library books
need to be returned today. Please check your book bag, locker and check your shelves at home. 

*Senior Boys basketball team, please return your basketball jerseys to the office.
*Just a reminder that if you’d like to purchase a 2024/2025 yearbook, please let the office know.
Also, if you have purchased a 2023/2024 yearbook, they are available for pick-up at the office.
There are also some copies available for purchase.
*Hungry, Need Breakfast –the breakfast program is back on for this school year. Every
morning, from 8:05 a.m. to the start of class, you can go into the foods room and grab some
breakfast. We are continuing with bagel Thursday.
*HOT LUNCH on Wednesday, which is the last hot lunch of this school year, is chicken
fingers and fries. We are continuing with our punch card or single card system. You must
purchase a card for lunch. A single card can be bought for $5.00, and a multi-card can be bought
for $20.00 (4 lunches). The punch cards must be purchased from the office ahead of time or they
can be bought with an e-transfer to vauxhallbaseball@gmail.com.
To pick up your hot lunch please go to the following rooms: 
Gr 7 – Miss Karmann
Gr 8 – Mr. Virginillo
Gr 9 – Mrs. Astalos
Gr 10 – Mrs. Finlayson
Gr 11 – Mr. Reiling
Gr 12 – Mrs. Schellenberg
*This year, if you need to purchase a cup of soup for lunch, please go to the office instead of the
corner store. This option is available Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday’s!
*High School students, there are posters are around the school that have QR codes
for dual credit opportunities. If you are interested in the trades or college or university courses,
please check out the posters and use the QR code to register and see what is offered.
*Career Transitions are excited to invite you to the Career Exploration Sessions for this school
year! Those interested in attending need to register in advance in order to receive a link to the
virtual event.
