*PRACTICES/GAMES/REHEARSALS
Monday – There is a tier 2 girls basketball wrap-up after school.

There is a SV girls practice at 5:00 pm
There is a SV boys basketball practice at 7:00 PM
There is drama practice from 3:30-4:30 on the stage after school.
Tuesday – The Tier 2 girls are playing in Taber against DAF 2 at 4:00 pm.
The tier 2 boys are playing in Taber against TCS at 4:00 pm
The S.V. girls have a game against Foremost in Bow Island at 6:00 PM
The J.V. boys have a game in Bow Island at 7:45 PM against B.I. J.V.
Wednesday – There is a tier 2 boys basketball home game against Barnwell at 4:00 PM
The SV boys have a home game against Eagle Butte at 5:30 pm

Thursday – There is a SV girls basketball practice after school.
There is a SV boys basketball practice at 7:00 PM
There is drama practice from 3:30-4:30 on the stage after school.
Friday - VES is using the gym after school for a few basketball games.
*The results from yesterday’s advisory challenge are as follows:
Charlies Angles - 1st - 25 points
Carpe Diem - 2nd - 20 points
Virg's Village - 3rd - 15 points
Gangsters - 4th - 10 points
Lil Kirks - tied 5th - 5 points
Clubbers - Tier 5th -  5 points
Check out the advisory point board as there has been some movement in placing.
*Badminton begins next week on Tuesday and Wednesday after school.
*"This week and next, student council is going to be selling candygrams at lunch. You can
purchase a CRUSH pop for $1 or a candy bag for $2 to be sent to someone in the school on
Valentine’s Day. You will have the option to attach a message or send it anonymously. This year
we are also bringing back singing grams. For $5, you can have 3 of student council’s finest sing
a love song to someone of your choosing in the school. This will take place the week of
Valentine’s Day. "
*On Tuesday morning, School Council is serving breakfast to all staff and students. There will
be pancakes, sausages, and juice boxes. Please than

*There will be a games group on Tuesdays in the Den for junior high students if you would like
to join at lunch time.
*All students in high school that are taking work experience, green certificate, or RAP. Mr.
Pritchard will be here on Wednesday at lunchtime.  The meeting is in Mr. Reiling’s room, and it
is mandatory to attend. You are being tracked for meeting attendance for your marks and credits
so please make sure you are there!
*Our Career Counselor, Mr. Mouland, will be here on Wednesdays. If you need any information
in regards to college, university, work study programs, entrance requirements, programs offered
and student loans, please let the office or a teacher know and we can book you an appointment
with Garth.
*There is a student council meeting at lunchtime on Tuesday in Mrs. Astalos' room.
*Reminder, it is spirit week starting on Monday so please dress up.
*Just a reminder that if you’d like to purchase a 2024/2025 yearbook, please let the office know.
Also, if you have purchased a 2023/2024 yearbook, they are available for pick-up at the office.
There are also some copies available for purchase.
*Hungry, Need Breakfast –the breakfast program is back on for this school year. Every
morning, from 8:05 a.m. to the start of class, you can go into the foods room and grab some
breakfast. We are continuing with bagel Thursday.
*HOT LUNCH on Wednesday will be a hot dog, bag of chips and a homemade Oreo cookie in
support of the travel club. We are continuing with our punch card or single card system. You
must purchase a card for lunch. A single card can be bought for $5.00, and a multi-card can be
bought for $20.00 (4 lunches). The punch cards must be purchased from the office ahead of time
or they can be bought with an e-transfer to vauxhallbaseball@gmail.com.
To pick up your hot lunch please go to the following rooms:

*This year, if you need to purchase a cup of soup for lunch, please go to the office instead of the
corner store. This option is available Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday’s!
*Career Transitions are excited to invite you to the Career Exploration Sessions for this school
year! Those interested in attending need to register in advance in order to receive a link to the
virtual event.
