Senior Boys volleyball practice at 5:30 pm

Wednesday – Junior High girls and boys are after school.

Thursday – Senior Boys volleyball practice at 5:30 pm
Friday – Good luck to the senior girls who are playing at the Lethbridge
Polytechnique tournament this weekend.
*All students in high school that are taking work experience, green certificate, or RAP. Mr.
Pritchard is here every Wednesday at lunchtime. Please make sure to touch base with Mr.
Pritchard if you are in Work Experience, Green Certificate, RAP, dual credit or introduction to
the trades. He is usually in the gathering area or in Mr. Reiling’s classroom.
*Join the VHS Mentorship Program and become a role model for a younger student. Share your
experience, offer guidance, and make a real impact in someone’s life. It’s a rewarding way to
build leadership skills, strengthen our community, and stand out on college and job applications.
Deadline to register is this Friday, September 12, training will be September 24 & 25. There is a
sign-up sheet located at the office.
*There will be a drama interest meeting on the stage next Wednesday at lunch (Sept. 17th) for
anyone who is interested in acting, prop/set design, or helping backstage in this year's
production.
*Student council meeting will be Tuesday at lunch in Mrs. Astalos’s room. We are looking for
many student voices and are excited to welcome new members.
*Anyone that ordered or wishes to purchase a 2024/2025, which was last June’s yearbook, it is
now available at the office.
*The Career Counselor, Sharla Kane, will be here on Wednesday’s. If you need any information
in regards to college, university, work study programs, entrance requirements, programs offered
and student loans, please let the office know and we can book you an appointment with Sharla.
*Hungry, Need Breakfast –the breakfast program is back on for this school year starting next
week. Every morning, from 8:05 a.m. to the start of class, you can go into the foods room and
grab some breakfast. We are continuing with bagel Thursday.
*HOT LUNCH on Wednesday, will be a cheeseburger and fries. You must purchase a card for
lunch. A single card can be bought for $5.00, and a multi-card can be bought for $20.00 (4
lunches). The punch cards must be purchased from the office ahead of time or they can be
bought with an e-transfer to vauxhallbaseball@gmail.com.

*There is an awesome opportunity for high school students to attend Rural Health Professions
Day on October 8 th at the Taber Hospital. Students will be immersed in hands on activities
related to the health care industry. Please pick up a form from the office if interested.
*This year, if you need to purchase a cup of soup for lunch, please go to the office instead of the
corner store. This option is available Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday’s!
*Career Transitions are excited to invite you to the Career Exploration Sessions for this school
year! Those interested in attending need to register in advance in order to receive a link to the
virtual event.
