Senior girls’ slo-pitch first game of the season starts with a double header
against Kate Andrews at 5:00 p.m.

Saturday – The Vikings are hosting Brooks. It is a D.H. starting at 1:00 p.m.

Vikings who defeated Holy Trinity from Okotoks last night.

*All students in high school that are taking work experience, green certificate, or RAP. Mr.
Pritchard will be here this Wednesday, April 24 th , at lunchtime. If you are in work experience or
green certificate you must be at the meeting. Please bring in your contracts and your hours. The
meeting is in Mr. Reiling’s room, and it is mandatory to attend. You are being tracked for
meeting attendance for your marks and credits so please make sure you are there!
*There will be a Student Council Meeting Tuesday at lunchtime in Miss Anton's classroom.

*Student Council continues to run a bake sale as a fundraiser for Prom 2024!  They will be
selling to students and staff this whole week at lunchtime at the tables in the gathering area. 
*Parent teacher interviews are this Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the gym.
*Our Career Counselor, Mr. Mouland, will be here on Wednesdays. If you need any information
in regards to college, university, work study programs, entrance requirements, programs offered
and student loans, please let the office or a teacher know and we can book you an appointment
with Garth.
*Hungry, Need Breakfast – Every morning you can go to the foods room, using the door closest
to the lockers, from 8:05 until the start of school you can pick up some breakfast. Starting this
Thursday we are having Bagel Thursdays for our breakfast program. Get your bagels! The
breakfast program started this morning and will continue each and every morning.
*HOT LUNCH on Wednesday will be Taco in a bag. We are continuing with our punch card or
single card system. You must purchase a card for lunch. A single card can be bought for $5.00,
and a multi-card can be bought for $20.00 (4 lunches). The punch cards must be purchased from
the office ahead of time or they can be bought with an e-transfer to
vauxhallbaseball@gmail.com.
To pick up your hot lunch please go to the following rooms:

*This year, if you need to purchase a cup of soup for lunch, please go to the office instead of the
corner store. This option is available Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday’s!
*We still have several basketball uniforms that have not been returned. If you still have yours,
please return it to the office ASAP!
*Career Transitions are excited to invite you to the Career Exploration Sessions for this school
year! Those interested in attending need to register in advance in order to receive a link to the
virtual event.

*The recruitment for the 2024/25 Minister’s Youth Council officially began on March 25, 2024. Alberta
Education is seeking approximately 40 junior and senior high school students from across Alberta,

between the ages of 14 and 19, representing diverse interests, identities, backgrounds, and perspectives, to
join next year’s council.
Council members will learn about topics related to government and the inner workings of Alberta’s
education system. They will have an opportunity to speak directly with the Minister of Education and
senior leaders in the ministry. They will be able to provide their thoughts and ideas on how to strengthen
education for all Alberta students.
 
Of the 40 council members, we will accept up to eight returning members and at least 32 new members.
